Blogger ibinulgar ang mga dokumentong sangkot ang kaanak ni Trillanes sa 2015 MRT-3 P7.28M deal without proper bidding

Manila, Philippines - Another issue has been haunting the embattled Senator Antonio Trillanes IV after Thinking Pinoy (TP) blog revealed names of alleged Trillanes’ relatives linked to the anomalous MRT-3 deals.

Aside from dropping names, Thinking Pinoy or also known as blogger Rey Joseph “RJ” Nieto gathered documents to support his claim.

Further, he also urged the Ombudsman to check if the contract awarded to the said firm complied to Government Procurement Reform Act.

In his Facebook post, Thinking Pinoy cited that former Aquino administration, in 2015 allegedly awarded without public bidding a P7.28-million MRT-3 communications maintenance contract to Trilink Technologies, a firm being managed by Senator Trillanes’ relative.

Below is the complete post from Thinking Pinoy that has gone viral as of this writing:

DOCS SHOW TRILLANES RELATIVES GOT 2015 MRT-3 COMMS MAINTENANCE CONTRACT WITHOUT PUBLIC BIDDING

The Noynoy Aquino government in 2015 awarded without public bidding a P7.28-million MRT-3 communications maintenance contract to Trilink Technologies, whose general manager is Henry Trillanes, a relative of Senator Antonio "Sonny" Trillanes IV.

Documents also show that Trilink Technologies’ board of directors is made up entirely of Trillaneses, namely:

1. Henry Trillanes (Director)
2. John Henry Trillanes (Director)
3. Rosanna Trillanes (Director)
4. Ginger Rose Trillanes (Director)
5. Henriette Ann Trillanes (Director)
6. Rhys Immanuel Trillanes (Stockholder)

A copy of the notice of award for the abovementioned contract may also be found in the DOTC-MRT3 website. To see the document, visit this link: https://bit.ly/2MlTQ9z

Henry Trillanes, one of Trilink’s incorporators, is also one of the senator’s top donors, having donated P3 million to the latter’s 2013 senatorial campaign.

Should the Ombudsman check if the contract complies with the Government Procurement Reform Act?

After all, negotiated contracts, or contracts that do not involve public bidding, have clear-cut guidelines under Article 53 of the said act [https://bit.ly/2QpW8rk].
